I am the youngest of ten children born to Bennie and Clara Emelia Christensen Ravsten. I was born in the Logan, Utah hospital on September 7, 1927. I attended the Clarkston Grade School, the Smithfield Junior High School and North Cache High School. I served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. Upon returning home I attended Utah State Agricultural College. It was there I met Elaine Anderson from Garland, Utah. Elaine and I were married on April 8, 1951, just a short time after Elaine graduated from college. We moved to Ogden where I worked at Hill Air Force Base and Swift’s Meats. In 1952 we moved to Seattle, Washington where I attended Edison Tech Trade School and worked at the Boeing Aircraft Plant. Since our marriage in 1951 was performed in Salt Lake City, Utah by a Justice of the Peace, we felt it was time to prepare ourselves to go to the Temple. We were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 25, 1954. In 1956 we moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where I was employed with Mine and Smelter Supply Company and Northpoint Irrigation Company. I retired in 1992. I have enjoyed out-of-doors activities such as hunting and fishing. Hunting in the Park Valley area at the “old rock house” was one of my favorites. I also loved my jeeps and had a lot of fun in them. I have held many church positions, but performing Temple work in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples has been my most enjoyable calling. The Temples are very special to me. Elaine and I live in Bountiful, Utah. On April 8, 22001 we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. I am thankful for my friends and family. I am thankful for the love they show towards me. I am thankful that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and for all the other rich blessings I enjoy, I give thanks.
